Returning to the Stage:

Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy bring their uniquely compelling partnership to SWAY: A Dance Trilogy for a limited engagement June 5 and 6, 2015!

Storytelling through movement, in a production I described as, ‘brilliant theater’ with a narrative underscoring the ‘Melting Pot’ of America, SWAY features an incredibly skilled cast of national and international renown. The talented individuals of SWAY: A Dance Trilogy, never rest on their laurels, and each Dance With Me USA produced run has offered new material and refinements on existing numbers.

The June 2015 SWAY Cast:

The list of talent participating in the June production of SWAY just keeps getting better and better! Most performers from the first, second, or both previous production runs are returning and joined by additional talented friends with the entire cast performing in all three shows.

Headlining the cast are: Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, principal partners of DWM; special guest performance by Olympic Gold Medalist and Dancing With the Stars Mirror Ball Trophy winner, Meryl Davis; featured performers Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, Henry Bialykov, Artem Chigvintsev, Jenna Johnson, and Serge Onik. Season 18 DWTS finalist, runner-up, Para-Olympian Bronze Medalist, Amy Purdy was recently added as a guest performer. Close to two dozen additional incredibly talented DWM dancers complete the cast. The latter dancers aren’t regularly on TV, but their talent is remarkable and it’s a great pleasure to see them perform.

Creativity + Quality + Talent + Passion = SWAY: A Dance Trilogy. Very much a labor of love, born as a creative outlet for DWM Instructional professionals, with friends and colleagues of Maks, Tony, and Val joining in the fun. What they created, though, is simply incredible, bringing my daughter, friends, and I, from various spots on the globe, reuniting for multiple SWAY shows because it’s that good. It’s a bit of a reunion for DWTS alums, too, who go way back. Notably, Maks, Peta, Emma, Henry and Artem performed together in the critically acclaimed 2009-10 Broadway run of Burn the Floor. This engagement resulted in Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s nomination for the 2010 Fred Astaire Award for Outstanding Male Dancer in a Broadway Show.
